Vadala Salon and Spa is in search of a licensed cosmetologist to join our team Tuesday through Saturday. We have an amazing staff with some of the sweetest girls and we’re looking to add one more!
We’re a gorgeous high end modern salon with an amazing staff that loves what they do. Come work at a place that you can be proud to call home and your clients will marvel over. We’re currently looking for Hair Stylist to create gorgeous cuts and colors for our customers.
Hair Stylist’s responsibilities include cutting hair, using basic and advanced techniques, consulting customers about cuts, chemical services, treatments, and products. If you have experience in these areas and are up-to-date with trends, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure all customers leave our salon satisfied with our services and feel happy with their new looks.
Responsibilities
Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques, like highlights, and balayage
Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and updos
Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection treatments and hydrating masks)
Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
Manage bookings and serve walk-ins
Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate
Provide manicure and pedicure services

2 years or more work experience as a hair stylist.
Confident in cutting and styling Men’s Hair
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths
Up-to-date with industry trends
Excellent communication skills
Physical stamina to stand for long hours
Valid Michigan Cosmetologist license
We offer 50% commission or a hourly whichever is greater, Credit card tips next business day, Retail commission pay, No back bar charges ever, and paid education.
