About Us:
Laurel Oaks Assisted Living Facility is dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. We prioritize dignity, comfort, and personal care, ensuring each resident looks and feels their best. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hair Stylist or Barber to provide professional hair care services to our residents on a regular basis.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible part-time hours; Typically twice per week based on resident needs
Contracted
Job Responsibilities:
Provide haircuts, styling, shampooing, and other basic hair care services for residents
Offer additional services such as perms, color treatments, or trims based on resident requests and facility policies
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following all safety and hygiene protocols
Engage with residents in a friendly and patient manner, creating a positive and relaxing experience
Schedule and manage appointments efficiently to accommodate residents’ needs
Ensure all tools and products are properly sanitized and stored.
Communicate with staff and families about residents’ grooming preferences or special requests
Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed Cosmetologist or Barber in the state of Michigan
Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, compassion, and a customer-focused approach
Ability to work independently and maintain an organized schedule
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $200.00 – $400.00 per week
