We’re currently seeking someone who LOVES TO WORK WITH CHILDREN and has just the right personality to join our team and add to an unforgettably-fun experience for clients.
Shear Madness, Haircuts for Kids, is more than a salon … it’s a memory maker! It’s taken us 16 years to develop the perfect environment for our kids and our stylists. We’ll readily admit, not ALL of the experience is the actual haircut you give them (although it plays a huge part!)—you see the station you’ll work at comes equipped with a flat-screen TV and the ability for your kid-clients to play X-Box or watch a cartoon-playing DVD. There are endless toys and funny-face mirrors on the walls. We call it our “pleasant distractions” so you can make the perfect cut.
As a Shear Madness stylist, SMILES ARE CONTAGIOUS for our clients and our stylists! You’ll work in colorful, bright environment with FUN at every turn. Fellow stylists share your passion of working with kids in a fun environment.

Our operating hours are”
M – F – 10am (giving you time to get the kids off to school) – 7pm (still time for you in the evenings)
Saturday – 9am – 5pm
Sunday hours of Noon – 6pm
We do require that you work on Saturday OR Sunday – we do not require both days! You will be busiest on those days and make the most money on those days as well.
At Shear Madness we offer a toy store – which you get 20% off our great products, we also have a great commission program where you not only earn commission on hair product sales buy also toy sales!
And paid vacation – YES! For every six months worked you earn 1/2 a week vacation – even if you are just a part time employee!
We have a DARLING salon and we are waiting for you!
Your hourly wage will vary depending on your experience. You will earn tips on top of that wage. Our stylists normally earn great tips, as Moms are so appreciative of what you do! However, for your first 90 days we will guarantee a $16.00 per hour pay. We take your hourly pay plus credit card tips only (cash tips are not included – you keep those), and then if you don’t earn $16.00 we make up the difference.
