Job Title: Hairstylist
Pay Rate: $50.00-$55.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + gratuities + commission
$50.00-$55.00 per hour based on $11.40 per hour base wage + gratuities + commission; historically, this position averages gratuity earnings of $20.00-$22.00 per hour. Gratuities will fluctuate based on events and time of year.
This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $14.81 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned)
Provide thoughtful, positive, friendly and professional service to all internal and external guests and exhibit a positive attitude at all times; Provide superior Hairstyling services with consistency to current treatment protocols in a professional manner
Contribute to the experience of the guests by the timely performance of services; Constantly review personal work schedule for changes or adjustments
Excellent proficiency in hair cutting, coloring, color correcting, styling and use of styling tools and aids.
Oversee and ensure all proper safety, sanitation and use procedures, based on Department of Regulatory Agencies for all implements, supplies and tools; maintain all professional draping standards and other applicable ethical standards; maintain and properly use all equipment provided; maintain cleanliness and sanitation within assigned work areas.
Be mindful of budget and the need to be efficient with all products used; Keep Supervisor informed of supply levels and applicable maintenance needs
Understand the complete menu of services and related retail products to better educate guests and members; promote retail sales through education to all guests and members; promote all areas of the spa and hotel
Respond positively to feedback provided by guests, management and fellow service providers to continually offer growth in the position
Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude regarding changes required to enhance guest experience or meet the fiscal needs of the organization
Flexibility in work schedule required
Assist in the development of resolutions to concerns keeping in mind the short term and long term success for the Spa facility and its patrons
Keep abreast of current changes in area of licensure; Pursue continuing education opportunities; Continue personal growth and education through available on-site resources and on your own; Maintain Certifications and State Regulated Licensure.
Fulfill extra duties daily. This includes but is not limited to the following: folding and stocking linen, opening and closing treatment rooms and Spa facility, refreshing drink stations, maintaining service expectations and procedures, cleaning, dispensing of soiled linen properly.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or GED. Experience working in beauty industry of minimum of two years preferred. Graduate of state approved school and licensed in Colorado as Hairstylist or Cosmetologist
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility in schedule as it will change often.
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
