About AMARIS

AMARIS is India’s first designer-led luxury fine jewelry brand, built for the modern Indian woman. Founded by Prerna Rajpal in 2015, the brand has scaled from zero to ₹62 Cr net revenue — entirely self-funded, profitable from day one, and growing at 40%+ year on year.

The brand has genuine cultural traction that cannot be bought: 200+ organic Bollywood celebrity placements including Deepika Padukone at Cannes, ET Jewelry Brand of the Year 2026, 215K HNI Instagram followers, and 56% repeat order rates. Stores reach EBITDA positive within 3 months of opening. D2C contributes 25% of revenue at 12x ROAS.

The design moat is real and irreplaceable — 1500+ jewels across three collections, sub-15 day design-to-market, and an in-house 40+ artisan workshop. AMARIS didn’t retrofit legacy jewelry. It rebuilt the luxury jewelry model from the ground up.

The Opportunity

Retail is the heart of AMARIS. It contributes 75% of the company’s revenue and is where customer relationships are built, trust is earned, and brand love becomes commercial outcomes.

Over the next five years, AMARIS plans to scale from 4 stores to 20 stores across India and international markets. The foundations are proven. The economics work. What the business needs now is a leader who can build one of India’s strongest luxury retail organisations.

THE ROLE

The Retail Head owns the performance, culture, and expansion of the AMARIS retail business.

This is the person responsible for turning every store into a category-defining luxury retail experience while delivering aggressive revenue and profitability targets.

The Retail Head will work directly with the Founder and CEO to scale the retail business from a handful of high-performing stores to a national and global footprint.

What You Will Own

Retail Performance

Retail is the single largest growth lever for AMARIS. The Retail Head owns outcomes.Full P&L ownership across all stores — Delhi, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and new openings

•      Full revenue ownership across all stores — Delhi, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and all future locations

•      Drive store productivity through exceptional sales leadership, customer experience, and team capability

•      Build a world-class consultative luxury sales culture focused on relationships rather than transactions

•      Own conversion, average order value, client retention, repeat purchase rates, and store profitability metrics

•      Spend significant time on the sales floor coaching teams, reviewing customer interactions, and elevating performance

•      Ensure every store consistently delivers the AMARIS standard of luxury hospitality and service

HNI Client Development

The most important customer relationships in the business cannot be delegated.

•      Personally build and nurture relationships with key HNI and UHNI customers

•      Develop and institutionalise clienteling practices across all stores

•      Create systems for customer acquisition, engagement, referrals, and retention

•      Partner with the founder on strategic client relationships and exclusive events

•      Build a customer-first culture where relationships drive long-term revenue

Store Expansion

AMARIS plans to open 5+ stores over the next 18 months and scale to 20 stores by FY31.

•      Lead retail readiness for all new store launches

•      Partner on location assessment, hiring, training, and launch planning

•      Build repeatable store-opening playbooks and operating standards

•      Ensure new stores ramp quickly and achieve revenue targets within planned timelines

•      Establish systems that allow retail excellence to scale across cities and markets

Team and Leadership

Building the next generation of retail leaders will be one of the highest-leverage aspects of the role.

•      Hire, develop, and retain exceptional store managers and sales professionals

•      Create training programs focused on luxury selling, customer experience, and product knowledge

•      Build performance management systems that reward excellence and accountability

•      Develop leadership pipelines that support rapid store expansion

•      Raise the talent density across the entire retail organisation

Retail Operations and Excellence

Operational excellence is what allows luxury experiences to scale.

•      Build SOPs, sales processes, and service standards across all stores

•      Ensure consistency of execution across locations

•      Monitor inventory productivity and sales efficiency in partnership with operations teams

•      Drive reporting discipline, forecasting accuracy, and business reviews

•      Continuously improve systems, processes, and customer experience standards

Who We’re Looking For

The Non-Negotiables

•      8–15 years of experience in luxury retail, premium consumer brands, jewelry, fashion, beauty, hospitality, or adjacent categories

•      Proven experience leading multi-store retail operations with significant revenue responsibility

•      Strong commercial instincts with deep understanding of conversion, productivity, AOV, and customer retention metrics

•      Experience building and managing high-performance sales teams

•      Comfortable selling high-value products through relationship-driven consultative selling

•      Willingness to spend meaningful time on the store floor rather than managing remotely

•      Demonstrated track record of scaling teams, systems, and performance

What Will Set You Apart

•      Luxury retail is in your DNA — you understand that trust and experience drive premium purchases

•      You have personally built relationships with HNI and UHNI customers

•      You can coach a sales consultant in the morning and review business performance in the afternoon

•      You understand what breaks when retail businesses scale and know how to fix it before it happens

•      You obsess over customer experience and believe retail is a competitive advantage, not just a distribution channel

•      You have helped build a premium or luxury retail brand across multiple cities

₹30 Lakh – 50 Lakh fixed, with performance-based annual bonus
