Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Production Manager – Garment, located in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The Junior Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily apparel production activities, coordinating directly with production teams and CMT (Cut, Make, Trim) vendors, ensuring boutique-level product quality, and delivering fashion orders on strict schedules.
Key responsibilities include monitoring production flow, managing inventory control, aggressively liaising with fabric suppliers and local tailors, and resolving supply chain bottlenecks. You will play a vital role in optimizing the production calendar and supporting continuous improvement initiatives for a premium fashion brand.
Qualifications
- Industry Specificity: Prior experience specifically in the Apparel, Fashion, or Textile manufacturing industry is an absolute must (FMCG or heavy manufacturing backgrounds will not be considered).
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience in garment production, supply chain operations, or fashion merchandising.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, CMT vendor management, fabric sourcing, and fashion quality control (QC).
- Operational Skills: Experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, and resolving production delays in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage suppliers, tailors, and internal design teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Business, Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant software and spreadsheet tools for production tracking and PO management.
