Job Summary

Supports management in directing SFX Makeup & Prosthetics activities, leads artists, assigns tasks, maintains projects, trains staff, manages inventory, and executes advanced SFX makeup and prosthetic applications, including airbrushing, aging, and multi-piece silicon or latex prosthetics.

Job Responsibilities

Assist leadership in project assignments, oversee application quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure inventory sustainability.

Perform as a SFX Makeup & Prosthetic Artist, applying and maintaining various prosthetics and techniques.

Address application issues, maintain prosthetics, and communicate concerns to leadership.

Participate in tests, fittings, rehearsals, and show openings.

Train new and current artists, assist performers with application and removal of prosthetics.

Manage supplies, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Individual Contributor.

Additional Information

Some work involves contact with latex, wool, fur, and allergens.

Qualifications

Proficiency in all materials and techniques, including latex, silicone, airbrushing, aging.

Ability to match colors, teach performers, provide customer service, communicate effectively, organize, prioritize, and work under pressure.

Flexible schedule based on business needs.

Certifications and

Education

Nevada OSHA 10 certification, Nevada Cosmetology license required.

Graduate of certified makeup school preferred.

Technical, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Experience

Minimum 4 years of professional SFX makeup and prosthetic application, with 1+ years of leadership experience or equivalent education and experience.
