We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling and cosmetology, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service while creating beautiful looks for our clients. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and a commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities
Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, coloring, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend appropriate services and products.
Stay informed about current trends in hair styling, hair extensions, and nail care to provide expert advice.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records efficiently.
Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new team members on best practices in hair care and customer service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
Engage in retail sales by promoting salon products that enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Handle front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and managing appointment bookings.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations.
Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Knowledge of retail math to assist with product sales and inventory management.
Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY, is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients and team members.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Experience with hair extensions is a plus but not required.
A passion for mentoring others in the beauty industry is highly valued.

Pay: $39,000.00 – $123,000.00 per year
