Job Summary
The Live Shopping Host is the face and voice of Shopportunity during our live shopping events. This role is central to creating an exciting, trustworthy environment that drives viewer engagement and sales. You will present products, interact with the audience in real time, and guide customers through their purchasing journey — all while keeping the energy high and the show moving. The ideal candidate is a natural communicator with a passion for fashion, a captivating on-camera presence, and a genuine love for the thrill of a great deal.
Responsibilities
— Host live shopping events via the Shopportunity app and approved channels
— Present and describe fashion products in an engaging, knowledgeable, and authentic way
— Interact with viewers in real time, answer questions, and drive purchasing decisions
— Attend sample sales, outlet events, and showrooms on behalf of Shopportunity
— Maintain a positive, high-energy presence on camera at all times
— Handle product, packaging, and shipping responsibilities per Shopportunity guidelines
— Represent the Shopportunity brand with professionalism and integrity
Requirements
— Fashion retail experience required
— Experience in live streaming, social media content creation, or on-camera hosting strongly preferred
— Familiarity with live selling platforms (e.g. Poshmark, WhatNot, ShopShops, Jamble, TikTok Live) a strong plus
— Punctual, reliable, and highly responsive
— Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a live, fast-paced environment
— Strong written and verbal communication skills — clear, simple, and effective
— Ability to stay composed, positive, and engaging under pressure
— Comfortable working independently on location at sales events
This is gig-based, part-time work. Hours and opportunities vary based on event availability and seasonality.
Pay: $23.41 – $28.20 per hour
