Overview:
Wash+Go is re-branding and changing our menu and vibes to include more services. We are seeking a skilled and experienced stylist to join our team at our curly salon in Redondo Beach. We are a 5 star salon that has serviced thousands of clients. Recently adding a new Korean Spa shampoo bowl, we are moving in a different direction with our clientele.
As a Natural Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality natural (chemical free) services to our clients. If you have a passion for hair (including textured hair) and enjoy creating unique and beautiful styles, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
– Perform various hair styling techniques including Silk Press, Wash and Go Sets, twists, Wig Installs, Sew-In weaves and other intricate styles.
– Consult with clients to determine their desired hairstyle and provide recommendations based on their hair type and preferences
– Cleanse and condition the client’s hair before styling
– Install hair extensions and sew- in weave them seamlessly into the client’s natural hair
– Use straight razors to shape and trim hair if necessary
– Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in styles
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
– Provide excellent customer service by ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process
Qualifications:
– Must be a Self-Starter and ready to take control of their career. Please note this is not the opportunity for you if you are looking to depend on the salon 100% as an independent contractor. We will help you build a clientele. If you have no clientele, must be ok with models.
– Proven experience as a stylist or similar role
– Knowledge of color theory and ability to recommend suitable colors
– Strong communication skills and ability to consult with clients effectively
– Excellent customer service skills
– Attention to detail and ability to create precise and neat braids
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Daily Rent or Commission. You choose your own hours. Team Environment. Salon marketing products and tools provided. Must have a portfolio of some sort to showcase your work.
