Job Description

Overview:

The Operations and Allocation Manager will be responsible for managing the efficient allocation of products to various locations, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain. Locations include two regional warehouses in Shanghai and Hong Kong, an in-country hub in South Korea, and retail stores located throughout the Asia Pacific region. This role will serve primary contact to all carriers in region (along with Sr. Director). The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Allocation:

Develop and implement product allocation strategies to ensure optimal stock levels at all locations.

Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market trends to make informed allocation decisions.

Collaborate with regional and global functional teams, including sales, merchandising, and supply chain, to align allocation with demand forecasts

Identify sales opportunities and recommend product transfers across regions and locations.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels across all locations to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

Implement inventory control measures and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

Optimize inventory turnover rates and reduce excess inventory through effective allocation strategies.

Coordinate returns from selling locations to warehouses as needed.

Coordinate and executing end-of-season physical inventory.

Operations Coordination:

Oversee daily operations related to product distribution, warehousing, and transportation.

Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, coordinating with logistics teams to resolve any issues.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient operations.

Communicate any special instructions to the warehouses such as hazardous materials, “ship-alone products,” or any products requiring unique handling.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and allocation.

Generate regular reports on inventory levels, allocation effectiveness, and operational performance.

Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with procurement, sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment of allocation strategies with business goals.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status and allocation plans.

Foster a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Proactively communicate inbound product delays to business partners to ensure alignment on release schedules.

Technology and Systems:

Leverage inventory management and allocation software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, implementing new tools and best practices as needed.

Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Quality Control Communications

Partner with Operations Director and Production teams on all quality control issues, including developing remedy plans.
