Over the past 4 years, the brand has grown into a premium fashion brand with a strong and expanding digital presence, a flagship store—Alfré’s Penthouse in Midtown Manhattan—and ambitious plans for continued growth.
We’re looking for a part-time Retail Operations Intern to join our Operations team from September through January with opportunities to extend and join full-time. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience across retail operations, fulfillment, inventory management, customer service, and merchandising while helping support the day-to-day operations of a growing fashion brand.
Role Overview
The Retail Operations Intern is a part-time, hands-on internship supporting the day-to-day operations of Le Alfré across retail, fulfillment, inventory, and customer experience. Working alongside our Operations team and Retail Director, you’ll help ensure our showroom and eCommerce operations run smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for every customer.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, enjoys working with people, and wants to gain real-world experience inside a growing consumer brand.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfillment & Inventory
- Pack and ship online orders with accuracy, efficiency, and premium presentation.
- Process returns and exchanges through Shopify and related platforms.
- Receive, organize, count, and replenish inventory from our in-store warehouse & outside facilities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across retail and Shopify.
- Keep the stockroom clean, organized, and operationally efficient.
Customer Experience
- Respond to customer inquiries across email, chat, and social media.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, shipping questions, and product recommendations.
- Represent the Le Alfré brand with professionalism and hospitality in every interaction.
- Maintain a strong understanding of product details, sizing, and brand knowledge.
Retail Operations
- Support the Retail Director with the daily operations of Alfré’s Penthouse, our flagship store.
- Help maintain showroom presentation, visual merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Organize product displays and ensure merchandise is properly stocked.
- Assist with inventory movement between the showroom and warehouse.
- Help create an elevated in-store experience for every guest.
General Operations
- Assist with seasonal product launches and inventory deliveries.
- Support retail events, pop-ups, and operational projects.
- Help identify opportunities to improve organization and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional operational tasks as needed to support the team.
