JOB PURPOSE:
The Planning Manager plays a key role in driving the financial and strategic planning process for TOM FORD Fashion across all Men’s and Women’s product categories within the Americas region. This position supports and partners closely with the Americas Merchandising Team, the Buying Team, and Retail teams to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy. The Planning Manager is responsible for merchandise financial planning, sales forecasting, inventory management, and the effective allocation and distribution of products to TOM FORD Fashion Americas stores. This role ensures that planning strategies support company objectives and maximize sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Women’s Buying & Retail Planning to develop seasonal merchandise strategies that support overall business objectives.
Lead end-to-end financial planning including preseason OTB, reforecasting, and margin management.
Monitor in-season and core business performance; provide actionable insights to maximize sales, profit, and inventory turn.
Conduct regular analysis on sales, stock, and profitability by category, style, and channel.
Support assortment planning and SKU productivity, ensuring balanced product depth and breadth across all retail.
Partner cross-functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment on key initiatives and calendar milestones.
Support Buying team with assessing reorder needs and allocation recommendations
Assist outlet teams with stock proposals and promotional analysis
Recap business performance on a weekly, monthly and ADHOC basis for business reviews, leadership visits and global requests.
Drive best-in-class reporting tools and dashboards to aid in real-time decision making.
Participate in market appointments and assist in the evaluation of line architecture from a financial lens.
QUALIFICATIONS
4-6 years of experience in merchandising, financial analysis experience, preferably in luxury fashion or retail.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high level of proficiency in retail math, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), Power Point
Background in Men’s and Women’s (ready-to-wear or shoes and leather goods) is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and problem solving
Ability to remain flexible and adjust priorities to handle time wisely in a fast-paced environment
Sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and ability to provide consistent follow-up
Strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with cross functional teams
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
