Role Overview
The Product Development Assistant supports the Accessories and Footwear Product Development team in the product development process from concept kick-off to production, ensuring every product meets the highest brand standards.
Essential Duties
- Manage and maintain SMS / PP closet, sample movement betweenoffices, and SMS logging and distribution for NY market. Sample log for styles borrowed out on shoots.
- Own full-cycle ERP management and maintenance
- Support in daily correspondence with factories + vendors ensuring all internal sample information is accurate
- Support seasonal lab dip request and management to ensure all dips are received prior to proto reviews.
- Maintain seasonal trim and hardware library, ensuring all trim detail sheets are received.
- Assist in building BOMs in Centric for all styles in development.
- Support manager in sample approval and material approvals
- Catalog and maintaina record of all fabricmaterials and maintainorganization for all approved submits
- Create style numbersand color codes
- Cross functional Sample + Photo Sample communication
- Build + maintain seasonal linesheets, material matrices, and development files
- Maintain/update development WIPs
- Assist with cost engineering by collecting vendor quotations, maintaining costing spreadsheets, and supporting margin targets.
- Send out and receive packages to all factories, unpacking in timely manner to ensure all necessary items are received.
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Education
- 1-3 years of relevantwork experience, includinginternships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and open to change
- Ability to adapt to new situations quickly
- Intermediate level understanding of G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- Entrepreneurial mentality; resourceful with creativeproblem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn the ins-and-outs of product development and sourcing; excitedto grow with the brand
- Experience in Centric PLM a plus
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Strong writtenand verbal communication skills
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
