Role Snapshot:

As a Production Manager, you will oversee end-to-end production operations (cut to pack), ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely order fulfillment. You will manage WIP control and reporting, production planning and scheduling, and ensure production starts as per committed timelines.

With strong technical know-how, you will drive optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials, including tooling requirements and inventory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify production bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and performance.

 

A Glimpse Into Your Regular Day:

You begin by reviewing floor operations, monitoring WIP levels, and aligning production with daily targets. You track production schedules, ensure timely order starts, and adjust plans to meet deadlines.

You review daily reports, compare actual vs. planned outputs, and take corrective actions to close gaps. You generate floor-wise WIP reports and ensure effective material planning and inventory utilization.

Throughout the day, you coordinate with supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. You highlight production challenges in daily and weekly meetings, while also mentoring your team to maintain a productive work environment.

You continuously look for process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce delays, and strengthen overall production performance.

 

What You Are Expected to Bring to the Table:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in production management, preferably in eastern ready-to-wear or export-oriented setups
  • Strong technical understanding of end-to-end production processes (cut to pack)
  • Proven ability in production planning, WIP control, and floor management
  • Sound knowledge of material requirement planning, inventory management, and tooling utilization
  • Strong grip on reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking (planned vs. actual)
  • Experience in identifying bottlenecks and driving process improvements
  • Ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s Degree
