What This Role Is About
Our client is looking for a Retail & Commercial Director (Acting GM) to lead and oversee the overall retail and commercial operations of the business, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end retail performance, including store operations, commercial strategy, and omnichannel growth.
You will lead P&L ownership, oversee multi-store operations, and ensure strong execution across retail, e-commerce, and brand partnerships.
You will also play a key role in driving merchandising strategy, inventory optimisation, vendor negotiations, and building strong commercial partnerships to support business expansion.
Must-Have Requirements
These are must-haves. Candidates who do not meet all of the below cannot be considered.
- 10 to 15 years of RECENT experience in retail business (Non-food only), including strong progression into senior retail leadership roles
- 5+ years currently leading a retail business unit is a must
- Recent experience in beauty, fragrance, luxury, fashion, gifting, or premium lifestyle retail is non-negotiable
- Proven experience with full P&L ownership
- Strong experience in multi-store operations management
- Experience in e-commerce and omnichannel retail
- Strong exposure to brand partnerships and vendor negotiations
- Experience in inventory management and merchandising strategy
- Fluency in Arabic is a Must
