Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Salon Apprentice to join our team and kickstart their career in the beauty industry. This is a paid position that offers hands-on training and mentorship to develop your skills and knowledge in a salon environment.
Duties:
– Assist senior stylists with various tasks including shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying hair
– Learn and practice basic hair styling techniques under supervision
– Sanitize tools, workstations, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe salon environment
– Support salon operations by managing appointments, greeting clients, and ensuring their comfort
– Observe and learn from experienced professionals to enhance your understanding of cosmetology practices
– Participate in salon promotions and upselling of products or services
Requirements:
– completed a cosmetology program
– Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques, color theory, and hair care products
– Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
– Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced salon environment
– Interest in learning advanced techniques such as hair extensions and straight razor cutting
– Willingness to assist with front desk duties when needed

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 26 – 36 per week
