We are looking for an assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone in cosmetology school or looking to get into the industry.
**Overview:**
We are seeking a motivated Salon Apprentice to join our team and kickstart their career in the beauty industry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hair and beauty services to gain hands-on experience and grow their skills in a professional salon environment. We offer an in salon apprenticeship program through the state of Virginia to earn hours towards receiving a cosmetology license as an alternative to cosmetology school.
**Responsibilities:**
– Assist senior stylists and technicians with various salon services, including shampooing, applying glazes, blow drying.
– Learn and practice proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic salon environment.
– Support retail sales by recommending products to clients and assisting with inventory management.
– Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
– Assist in front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments.
**Qualifications:**
– Passion for the beauty industry and eagerness to learn new skills.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
– Willingness to follow instructions from senior staff members and actively participate in training programs.
– Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
