Responsibilities
- Perform garment construction, alterations, and repairs with precision and attention to detail
- Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble or modify clothing items
- Ensure all finished garments meet quality standards before delivery or sale
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly care for all sewing equipment and tools
- Collaborate with the sales team to assist customers in selecting suitable alterations or customizations
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality expectations
- Go on appointments to clients homes for fittings with another person from our team
Requirements
- Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a fashion retail setting
- Proficiency with sewing machines and various sewing techniques
- Strong understanding of garment fitting, fabric types, and construction methods
- Basic math skills for measuring, pattern adjustments, and calculations related to garment sizing
- Knowledge of fashion trends and retail environment dynamics is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality workmanship
