Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and repairs to garments. Your expertise in garment construction and sewing techniques will ensure that our customers receive tailored clothing that fits them perfectly. Work will be performed at the Government Facility. Must be proficient in English!
Responsibilities:
– Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments, including pants, shirts, dresses, jackets, and suits
– Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit
– Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to complete alterations
– Seamlessly blend fabrics and patterns to maintain the original look of the garment
– Assist customers in selecting appropriate alterations based on their preferences and needs
– Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the final product
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
– Proficient in basic math for accurate measurements and calculations
– Strong sewing skills with the ability to sew by hand or using a sewing machine
– Knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric types
– Experience working in a fashion retail environment is a plus
– Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise alterations
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers and understand their specific requests
