Special Project Manager Jobs in Hong Kong SAR at CLOT

Title: Special Project Manager

Company: CLOT

Location: Hong Kong SAR

About CLOT

CLOT is not just a brand; it is a cultural bridge. Founded by Edison Chen in 2003, we are pioneers in the global streetwear and lifestyle space. We are known for groundbreaking collaborations with the likes of Adidas, Coach, fragment design, Levi’s, The North Face, Popmart and Sacai. We don’t just make products—we tell stories that fuse heritage, heritage, and DNA.

The Role

We are seeking a highly discerning Special Projects Manager who lives and breathes the culture. You possess a rare blend of commercial acumen, operational discipline, and innate taste.

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic collaborations—from handshake to launch. You will act as the connective tissue between external partners (brands, artists, designers) and internal teams including Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Planning.

Given CLOT’s deep roots in Greater China and global partnerships, this role requires fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, as well as frequent travel to China to manage partners, factories, and retail activations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnership & Deal Making

Identify and vet potential collaborators (fashion, lifestyle, F&B, toys, automotive) that align with CLOT’s DNA. Lead commercial negotiations: discuss partnership terms, guarantee structures, royalty splits, and marketing contributions. Use sound judgment to filter opportunities—ensuring a collaboration brings out the mutual DNA of both brands, not just a logo swap.

2. Creative Brief & Design Management

Translate the strategic vision into a clear, inspiring brief for CLOT’s internal Design department. Challenge and guide designers to ensure the final product reflects the heritage and quirks of both partners. Review samples with a critical, trend-aware eye.

3. Product Development & Merchandising

Once designs are confirmed, partner with the internal Merchandising department on product creation, costing, and style setup. Align with Merchandising on accurate product timelines (T&A), order quantities, and SKU rationalization.

4. Operations & Planning Integration

Work closely with Operations to ensure production handoffs, warehouse receiving, and fulfillment readiness for all collaboration products. Partner with Planning on demand forecasting, inventory allocation (DTC vs. wholesale), and drop volume phasing. Flag operational constraints early (e.g., packaging lead times, special handling for collectible toys/sneakers) and build them into the project timeline. Coordinate with Planning to manage reorder triggers or one-time-only buy windows for limited collaborations.

5. Full Lifecycle Project Management

Act as the central “air traffic controller” for the entire project. Manage internal calendars (design, sampling, production, ops, planning) against external partner calendars (retail drops, brand anniversaries). Host regular cross-functional check-ins including Design, Merch, Marketing, Ops, and Planning.

6. Go-to-Market & Budgeting

Co-lead launch planning with internal Marketing and the partner’s marketing team.

Align on budgets: split of marketing costs, paid media, events, and influencer seeding. Orchestrate the launch narrative (tease, reveal, drop) to maximize cultural impact.

7. China Market & Travel Responsibilities

Travel frequently to China to meet with brand partners, suppliers, and retail teams. Act as the on-the-ground liaison for China-based collaborations, sample reviews, and pop-up activations. Bridge cultural and operational gaps between CLOT’s global teams and China-based stakeholders.

Who You Are

Culturally Fluent: Strong opinions on trends in fashion, sneakers, designer toys, and lifestyle—across both global and China markets.

Trilingual: You can negotiate a deal in English, brief a designer in Mandarin, and troubleshoot operations in Cantonese—often in the same day.

Commercially & Operationally Savvy: You can discuss P&L, MOQs, and guarantees—and also understand lead times, allocation logic, and warehouse cutoffs.

Diplomatic: You balance CLOT’s creative integrity with a partner’s business needs and internal operational realities.

Organized Chaos Manager: You thrive on complex timelines with multiple stakeholders, including Ops and Planning.

Travel-Ready: You are comfortable being on a plane frequently and can manage projects remotely while on the road.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in brand partnerships, product management, or special projects within streetwear, footwear, or lifestyle.

Proven track record of executing collaborative products from concept to consumer.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate partnership terms (contracts, licensing, revenue share).

Experience working directly with Operations and/or Planning teams (forecasting, inventory management, fulfillment).

Experience briefing internal creative/design teams and working with merchandising on production timelines.

Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (spoken and written) is mandatory. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to China (estimated 30% travel time).

Existing network within the global streetwear/fashion ecosystem, particularly in Greater China, is a strong plus.
