Role Summary
We seek a strategic and analytical Supply Chain Manager to manage the full, end-to-end logistics, inventory, and distribution lifecycle for our fashion retail operations. This critical role involves ensuring efficient product flow to our retail stores, e-commerce platform, and sub distributors with a necessary focus on adapting to significant seasonal demand volatility. The successful candidate will be key to optimizing vendor partnerships, driving warehouse efficiency, and developing and executing strategies focused on maximizing cost reduction, accelerating delivery speeds, and maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
- Inventory & Demand Forecasting: Strategically forecast demand and manage inventory levels to proactively eliminate stockouts and minimize overstock, especially during crucial seasonal product launches.
- Global Sourcing & Vendor Management: Lead negotiations with international manufacturers on cost, lead times, and shipping terms. Vigorously monitor and evaluate vendor performance to cultivate strong, dependable partnerships.
- Logistics & Distribution Network Oversight: Direct the complete movement of finished goods, from manufacturing sites through 3PL warehouses to final destinations (retail stores or direct-to-consumer), ensuring strict On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery compliance.
- Warehouse and Operational Excellence: Drive efficiency within warehouse operations by implementing superior processes for picking, packing, and shipping. Champion best practices for storage and utilize advanced technologies like barcode scanning to maximize inventory accuracy.
- Performance Analytics & Reporting: Utilize ERP systems and advanced data analytics for accurate demand forecasting and comprehensive reporting on critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including inventory turnover rate and freight cost per unit.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction: Champion "Lean" principles and continuous improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate bottlenecks across the supply chain, thereby reducing operational costs and accelerating product speed-to-market.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure all imported footwear adheres strictly to customs regulations and develop robust contingency plans to protect against potential logistical disruptions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory Turnover: Measures the efficiency of stock management and sales.
- OTIF (On-Time In-Full): Tracks the accuracy and timeliness of product delivery to retail doors.
- Freight Cost per Unit: Reflects the cost-effectiveness of transportation and logistics.
- Order Cycle Time: The total time elapsed from customer order placement to final product delivery.
Required Qualifications & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated supply chain management experience, specifically within the retail, footwear, or fashion apparel sectors.
- Expert-level command of major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google workplace applications for complex data analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in fashion retail distribution models, global sourcing/procurement, and meticulous inventory control methodologies.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, a highly analytical and solution-oriented mindset, proven leadership ability, and effectiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Certifications & Professional Development (Reference as advantage)
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Planning Professional, Enterprise Supply Chain Management, or Certified Warehouse and Logistics Professional are highly valued.
- Membership in organizations like the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM)
- An MBA with a specialization in Supply Chain Management is advantageous for career progression into senior leadership roles
