Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garments according to design specifications.
- Perform alterations and repairs on existing garments, ensuring fit and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to understand customer needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Utilize basic math skills to measure, cut, and sew fabric accurately.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Stay updated on fashion trends and garment construction techniques to enhance skills and product offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience in sewing, preferably in a fashion retail or garment production environment.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric types.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow patterns and specifications accurately.
- Polite and efficient
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to sewing tasks.
