Technical Designer
The Technical Designer will own the technical design process for our swimwear and activewear collections, ensuring exceptional fit, construction and alignment with brand aesthetic from prototype through production. This role is ideal for a self-starter confident in leading fit sessions, communicating directly with vendors, and managing multiple development timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Own the technical design process from prototype through production, ensuring consistent fit, construction, and design intent across swimwear and activewear categories.
- Lead fit sessions independently, evaluating garment fit, construction, and alignment with brand aesthetic using fit models.
- Schedule fit sessions and coordinate fit models based on development and production timelines.
- Document fit sessions with clear, detailed fit comments, measurement revisions, and construction updates for manufacturing partners.
- Prioritize work based on delivery calendars, track sample development, manage fit samples, and follow up with vendors to ensure timelines are met.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of technical design experience, with a focus on swimwear and activewear.
- Strong knowledge of swimwear and activewear fabrics, stretch materials, garment construction, and fit.
- Experience leading fit sessions and communicating technical revisions directly to vendors.
- Highly organized with excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a small team environment.
