Small Girls PR is growing and we are looking for an Associate Account Executive within our fast growing west coast office focusing on a range of exciting consumer brands across the fashion, tech, fitness, and lifestyle spaces!

An Associate Account Executive is the foundation of the support infrastructure at Small Girls PR, furnishing documents, call notes, and organizational systems to keep accounts running smoothly. As an AAE, you will contribute to and impact media relations efforts, actively providing ideas and action items and serving as one of the lead pitching participants on the team.

There is no one-size-fits-all for an SGPR client which means your career will be further enriched with meaningful and diversified experience. We’ve handled mergers for GE, announced Esusu as one of the first Black-owned tech unicorns, created a closet calculator to see how recycled clothing impacts the environment with thredUP, and this team specifically tapped the Green M&M as Zappos’ newest “shoefluencer” ahead of the Super Bowl, when M&M’s spokescandies were put on hiatus.

Note: Small Girls PR is currently in the office on a hybrid basis, working two days a week in our LA office.How you’ll make an impact:

Draft creative pitch angles that position client’s uniquely from their competitor set and yield feature-length stories

Establish and maintain warm relationships with both business and consumer media

Come prepared to brainstorms with original campaign concepts and stunt ideas that would drive preferred messaging on behalf of our brands

Keep the team organized by gatekeeping the monthly activity reports, weekly call agendas + recap notes, and by assisting with wrap reports & decks as needed

Pulse search engines, alerts and social media to ensure all client placements and mentions are monitored, measured, captured and interpreted

Periodically share your team’s learnings at company-wide all hands

You have at least 1-2 years of post-grad experience within the media relations, corporate communications, or public relations space. Noting this role is not entry level / for 2024 graduates

Your passion for error-free work; you double check every detail and spot a typo a mile away

You have a strong passion for following trends, culture and media and are obsessed with pop culture and entertainment news!
