Title: Customer Care
Company: Sørensen
Location: Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
VACANCY: COMMERCIAL | CUSTOMER CARE
TWELVE month fixed-term contract
INTRODUCTION
Founded by Wayne Sorensen, formerly Design Director for Orlebar Brown and Calvin Klein, Sørensen
Yachtwear is a burgeoning brand focused on dressing crew of the most discerning superyachts. Catering to
this rapidly-growing industry, we see an enormous opportunity ahead of us; our fashion pedigree and design driven approach sets us apart from our peers.
We are focused on: style and excellence; integrity and accountability; challenge and enjoyment. We take a
long-term view on our relationships with each other, our clients and our suppliers.
Our studio is based in Central Amsterdam (design and showroom) with our production and logistics based
in north Portugal. We are the only yachtwear-focused design-led brand based in the Netherlands – home of superyacht boat-building.
Personal and career development is of high importance to Sørensen. The right candidate for this role will have the opportunity to grow exponentially.
The Role
We are now recruiting for a highly organised and methodical individual to join our Sales Team. Acting as
the primary point of contact for existing clients, this role enables the Sales Team to focus on new business
opportunities while ensuring a seamless experience throughout the client relationship.
This role ensures that every client interaction after the moment of sale is seamless, proactive and commercially effective – driving client satisfaction, repeat business and long-term account growth. This is not a traditional customer service role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of contact for all existing clients: captains, chief steward(esses), management companies and owner representatives
- Partner with the Sales Team on all incoming communication – email, WhatsApp (group chats) and phone
- Ensure every request, from minor adjustments to full re-orders, is handled end-to-end across your customer accounts
- Maintain a constant, proactive presence with every account – not just reactive support
- Identify and act on opportunities for top-ups, replacements and seasonal updates
- Guide clients on what to reorder, when, and why, together with the Sales Team
- Support the Sales Team in the rollout of seasonal collections across the existing client base, in line with the seasonal calendar
- Increase average order value per yacht through informed, well-timed recommendations
- Co-implement and create scalable sales systems, tools, processes and reporting structures
- Deliver a luxury-level, highly personalised service experience
- Provide informed advice on fit, wear, durability and styling onboard
- Handle returns, complaints, and adjustments with professionalism and care
- Proactively follow up after delivery to ensure satisfaction
- Take responsibility for all after-sales processes, from request through to resolution, alongside the Sales Team
- Collaborate internally with Sales, Operations (logistics) and Design (product)
- Ensure accuracy in orders, timelines and communication with Production
About You
You understand the realities of life onboard. You may currently be a Chief Stewardess, Purser or senior
onboard professional looking to move ashore – or already working in a client-facing commercial role within the superyacht industry.
You will bring:
- First-hand superyacht experience, ideally with responsibility for crew-wear selection and procurement
- Strong commercial awareness, and an eye for the opportunity in every account
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving, international environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- A proactive approach to problem-solving – anticipating needs before they arise
- The ability to build and hold long-term professional relationships
- An existing network across captains, crew, management companies, and owner representatives would be a distinct advantage.
In this role you are actively managing and growing existing accounts, ensuring Sørensen stays embedded
onboard every yacht we serve. You take full ownership of the post-sale relationship and act as the key
operational link between our clients and the Sales Team. Above all, you bring a strong sense of ownership,
accountability and pride in delivering a seamless, high-standard experience that reflects the Sørensen brand.
Success in this role
Within your first 12 months you will have:
- Taken ownership of an established portfolio of yacht accounts
- Become the primary relationship manager for existing clients
- Improved retention and repeat-order activity across the client base
- Supported the successful rollout of seasonal collections
- Strengthened account-management processes and reporting
- Helped create a client experience that sets Sørensen apart within the superyacht industry
